' Away and play in the traffic '
2013
The title is a colloquialism, an expression. A less polite way to
request a person leaves your vicinity. Often used by older individuals
and children. Meaning, ' go get ran over '.

| Above, shows artist 'playing ' |
This performance piece involved artist attempting to paint the city roads neon colours while avoiding on coming traffic. Filling pot holes with powdered paint, which would be lifted and whisked into a cloud or rest until rainfall. This allowed traffic to act as a literal vehicle transferring paint throughout the city scape.

Playing with danger, cities themselves sapping the collective life out of its denizens. Motorways acting as choked clogged arteries.Playful respite, break away . Playing is a serious business.
Playing fuels us, teaches and directs artistic endeavour, driving artistic practices and minds of all innovators, inventors and problem solvers.
